Strategically situated at the corner of the Stoeplaan and the Schouwweg, Klein Haesebroek was the first of the grand villas to be built in the new villa park Groot Haesebroek in 1910. It was designed by the architectural firm Hoek & Wouters. Wouters moved into the villa, with the purpose of using it as a showpiece for potential residents in the neighbourhood. With its English country style, combined with an old-Dutch interior it was an immediate hit with the prospective new owners. It is now the residence of the Peruvian ambassador.
